In short, because PayPal is more oriented to one-time payments and/or adding funds to an online account. As our business model revolves specifically around subscriptions – along with various product “add-ons” – our system requires dynamic monthly credit card billing, and PayPal’s current API simply is not flexible enough for variable billing.
