The few times I posted jobs about SEO work it seems like 80% of the replies are generic freelancers trying to sell backlinks, like they think that is the only thing that matters? Is that really accurate and any good experienced with that
Upwork is maybe better than Fiverr for buying backlinks but that’s only because the prices are much higher as the Upwork freelancers will be trying to rent their links to you for a monthly package and other overpriced stuff like that.

LOL sorry. I meant the quality is sometimes better on Upwork but they also are kind of greedy trying to sell monthly packages and shit like that whereas Fiverr is more like pay once for a cheap poor quality guest post.
90% of the people who sell you links will end up fucking you over. Either deleting the links you paid for, or getting their domain penalized that it ends up being a worthless backlink or may even hurt your reputation for having a backlink from their PBN network. The only safe approach is building out your own network of high quality sites and surgically linking them when appropriate.
While Upwork has many freelancers, buying SEO backlinks there can be risky. Quality varies, and low-quality or spammy backlinks can harm your site’s ranking. It’s better to focus on building organic, high-authority links through reputable SEO practices. If you’re in a niche industry like painting, working with a specialist in Painting Company SEO is a smarter choice. They know how to build backlinks safely and effectively for long-term growth without risking penalties from Google.
